I don’t know what it is about Fall that brings out the rustic, outdoorsy side of me. I always think of roasting marshmallows by a campfire while sitting on bales of hay or cozying up with a good book wrapped in a flannel blanket. There is something so calm and warm about the fall season and our house is definitely getting cozier and cozier with each piece of fall decor I put up in our house. With that said, I couldn’t help but be inspired to create a nursery that reflects a rustic, western style with a chic twist.
Most of us wouldn’t think rustic could be chic, but it can! There is nothing more pleasing to MY eye than to see old rough vintage pieces sitting next to something that is new and shiny! Today’s nursery is a mixture of just that, wood/vintage finishes with a splash of sophisticated bling. In the design today, I set the stage with the beautiful natural wood crib and dresser and added a few modern elements to help soften the roughness of the rustic pieces. Though this is geared toward a baby boy’s nursery, it can easily transition into a baby girl’s oasis by simply changing out artwork/growth chart theme. The best part about this nursery design is that you don’t have to go far to replicate it in your own home. Each piece you see here can be found at one stop shop, SugarBabies Online!!
